Now Accepting 2025-2026 Scholarship Applications
The Mason Shemo Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2022 by the Shemo Family. The scholarship honors Mason Shemo’s life by providing support to students who want to make a difference in mental health. Donations provided financial assistance for college-bound graduating seniors at North Olmsted High School in North Olmsted, Ohio.
2025-2026
Any North Olmsted High School senior who plans to major in social work, counseling or psychology and intends to work in the mental health field may apply.
Applicants are required to write an essay detailing:
- A life experience that significantly impacted them.
- Their inspiration for pursuing a career in mental health.
- Their specific career goals.
- How they envision making a difference in the field of mental health.

2024-2025
We awarded approximately $3,000 in scholarships to three graduating high school seniors. The student winners were selected based upon their plans to major in psychology and intentions to work in the mental health field.
2023-2024
We awarded approximately $4,000 in scholarships to five graduating high school seniors.
2022-2023
We awarded approximately $3,000 in scholarships to four graduating high school seniors.
